Welcome! This is the Chestnut Review Auxiliary Submittable. It is only for special submissions such as chapbooks, writing retreat registrations, reader/editor applications, and so on. To submit your poetry, flash, prose, or art to the magazine (submissions are always open), please go to our regular Submittable.

Retreat registration is free, but registrants must submit a deposit in order to secure a place. We can not hold places without deposits. Deposit payment is through our site and a link will appear once you have completed this Submittable registration.
If you would be dependent on a scholarship to participate, please watch our social media for announcements of opportunities; when we are able to offer support we will open a special scholarship application on Submittable.
CHESTNUT REVIEW is seeking volunteer readers for poetry submissions. The estimated time commitment is 4-5 hours/week on average. All work is completed online via Submittable and email. Readers are not compensated for regular submissions but may earn token per-piece payments for providing feedback to submitters.
Current undergraduate and graduate students will be onboarded as interns, in a role that requires ~3 hours per week.
Staff must be at least 18 years of age.
CHESTNUT REVIEW does not consider magazine submissions from current or former staff members. If you have an active submission with us, once you are offered the reader position we will ask you to withdraw your work from consideration. (There is no need to do this until you hear from us.) Artists who have already published with us are welcome to submit reader applications.
