Writing Retreat Scholarship Application

Please note that we reserve the right to close this application before the deadline if we have sufficient applicants to fill the open scholarship spots. We urge writers to apply as soon as possible to ensure the best chance of acceptance. Writers who are offered scholarship spots but who do not submit deposits within our required timeframe may lose the right to a scholarship.

• Our scholarship price for the 2026 Ithaca retreat is $299. The recipient of this scholarship will pay a $150 deposit on acceptance, and a balance of $149 as the total cost of the retreat. Remember that this retreat does not include accommodation (see full retreat page for details).
• As with all other participants, the recipient will need to cover their round-trip travel to Ithaca. Details of itinerary will be provided on acceptance. 
• We do not ask for financial documentation or articulation of need for scholarships, as we see this as a lack of respect towards our writers. 
• Recipient will be a full participant in all activities as described on our webpage. We do not identify scholarship recipients to the other participants of the retreat.
