Retreat registration is free, but after we issue an acceptance registrants must submit a deposit in order to secure a place. We can not hold places without deposits. Deposit payment is through our site and instructions will be sent to you when you are accepted.

If you would be dependent on a scholarship to participate, please watch our social media for announcements of opportunities; when we are able to offer support we will open a special scholarship application on Submittable.

Please note that we reserve the right to close this application before the deadline if we have sufficient applicants to fill the open scholarship spots. We urge writers to apply as soon as possible to ensure the best chance of acceptance. Writers who are offered scholarship spots but who do not submit deposits within our required timeframe may lose the right to a scholarship.

• Our scholarship price for the 2026 Wales retreat is $1200. The recipient of this scholarship will pay a $500 deposit on acceptance, and a balance of $700 as the total cost of the retreat. 
• As with all other participants, the recipient will need to cover their round-trip airfare to Wales. Details of itinerary will be provided on acceptance. 
• We do not ask for financial documentation or articulation of need for scholarships, as we see this as a lack of respect towards our writers. 
• Recipient will be a full participant in all activities as described on our webpage. We do not identify scholarship recipients to the other participants of the retreat.
